Who we are

KozerJob is operated by a small team based at Escale Nord Business Hub, Grand Baie, Mauritius. This policy explains what we collect from candidates and employers who use the site, why, and what rights you have over it.

Information we collect

If you're a candidate: your name, phone number, age, gender, education level and region. If you choose to build your profile by voice, we record and store the audio. If you choose chat, we store the messages you send our assistant. If you upload a CV, we store the file itself. From any of these, we derive a structured summary of your experience, availability, skills and an internal matching score.

If you're an employer: your company name, contact person, phone number or email, and the details of the roles you post.

How we use it

To build and maintain your profile, match candidates to relevant job requirements, and contact you — by phone, WhatsApp or email — about opportunities or candidates. We don't use your information for anything beyond running the matching service.

Automated processing

We use automated tools to help turn what you record, type or upload into a structured profile. A member of our team reviews matches before an employer receives your contact details — no one is contacted purely on the basis of an automated decision.

Unfinished profiles

We keep a record of what you say while you're building a profile — the messages you exchange with our assistant, how long each recorded answer took, and any problems you ran into, such as a file we couldn't read. We keep it whether or not you finish and submit. This is how we find out where the process is confusing or broken: if people keep stopping at the same question, that's a problem with our question, and without this record we'd have no way of knowing.

Only our own staff can read it — not employers, and it isn't shown on your profile. We delete the actual words after 24 months, keeping only counts and timings, which no longer identify anyone. If you ask us to delete your data, this goes with it.

Storage and retention

Profile data, voice recordings and CV files are stored in access-controlled storage tied to your account. We keep this information while your profile is active on the platform. If you want your data deleted, contact us using the details below and we'll remove it, subject to any record-keeping we're legally required to retain.

Who we share it with

Your contact details are shared with an employer only once you've been shortlisted for a specific role. We also share information with the service providers who help us run the platform, under obligations to keep it confidential and use it only to provide that service. We do not sell candidate or employer information to anyone.

Your rights

Under the Mauritius Data Protection Act 2017, you can ask to access, correct or delete the information we hold about you, and object to how it's used. To change the phone number tied to your profile or make any other privacy request, contact us on WhatsApp through the number linked to your account, or using the details below.

Security

Access to candidate and employer data is restricted at the database level, so an account can only ever see the data it's permitted to see. Staff and employer accounts require multi-factor authentication to sign in, and access to sensitive actions is rate-limited and logged.

Cookies and analytics

We use Plausible Analytics to understand how the site is used. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't collect personal data, and doesn't track you across other sites.

Children

KozerJob is not directed at children. It's intended for people who are old enough to legally work in Mauritius.

Changes to this policy

If we make a material change to how we handle your information, we'll update this page and change the date at the top.
